A low timber house set behind the dunes, sheltered from the north wind by a stand of pines.

The site sits between a plantation of pines and the open dune heath. The house stays low, one long volume under a single roof, so that it reads as part of the landscape rather than an object placed on it.

Rooms open south towards the heath and close north towards the wind. Untreated larch will turn silver within a few winters, the same colour as the dry grass around it.
